Have you looked at the auto salvages? A lot of them are networked into a salvage database. I looked up a used engine as I'm thinking of tuning my truck. I'm fully ready to pay for play. I was told anywhere from 2k to 4.5k for engines. That doesn't include the PCM or anything other than what they leave on it when they cut the motor out.

Yes I have been in contact with several local places, and they want an arm and a leg for them. More so for the Mustang engine but even for the F150 engines they want a lot and if I get an F150 engine I will need to swap a few things anyway so at that point I can almost get a new one. One place quoted me 8500 for a Mustang with harness and trans, which may not see bad, but I dont want the trans, and I can get a get a crate engine from Ford with harness for like 6700 and then looking at about 3k for a T56 trans. Just keeping the word out there and keeping peoples eyes and ears open. ALso will need to swap the oil pump gears I have heard of them going out and killing the entire engine.
