Additional info, the last strategy code that was programmed into this tuner was Kgch4a4.h32

Rick from livernois had noted that it was the JGK6 update at the time I updated the tuner.

May I ask why your selling it? I'm learning about these tuners. Has it been used and if yes will it work fine in another truck? Does the user have to download updates and retune very often? Thanks

I sold my truck due to 3 new rack and pinions after 16k miles. I uninstalled it from the vehicle before I sold it. I don't think you have to ever have updates installed as long as the strategy codes match.

You can have Rick @ Livernois send you different tunes if the ones on it are not to your liking.

If your strategy code doesn't match you will have to spend (I believe) 250$ to have it reprogrammed for your vehicle. If it does match, then someones getting a smoking deal!

Those that are interested cyberdude47 was kind enough to send me Ricks response from Livernois direct.

"These are VIN locked units so in order to use it for your truck, we need $250 to add a license, the VIN from the previous vehicle, the VIN from your vehicle, and the serial number on the tuner. We then have a few steps to do online.

The price is 300$, you will be in it 550$ when your done and won't have to spend it all out of one check. Barely used and you get a 50$ discount.

I would have bought it but just don't have 550 to spend right now. But bump for a decent guy.

I will not take 150$ for this. I will let it rot in my garage before I do that So that being said, realistic offers only please!

How did you go through 3 Racks and pinions in under 16k miles? Good luck with the sale!

If you really want to know about the 3 racks, check this sticky. Ford has a problem they have yet to own up to.
