What does it matter to you what he paid vs what you paid? He negotiated his deal and you yours. Texas, from what I've seen, generally has lower prices, my thinking is they move more inventory. Unless it's a Raptor. You want to talk dollars and cents go on FRF, you'll see insane price differences on what guys pay. But one thing is generally common there - they're all happy with what they paid and never criticize what another member paid.

That's a really nice truck, the piece seems a little low but dealers are always going to give you a low number on trade. You could try and take it to car max. They will make you a offer that would probably be better then that.

Mighty nice of you to buy your old man a new truck and ship it to him! Hope my son does the same for me in 20 years. I think I recall you're 20, and in college correct?

Not sure if this still happens but back in 1998 I bought a new vehicle in Nevada because the state tax was much cheaper than in California where I was stationed (wife was from Nevada)..thinking we got a great deal and saved some bucks....well when I went to register the car in California...they made me pay the difference in state tax from Nevada to Cali.
