In all reality, you will only see about 1-3 mpg gains on a good tune and that's only if you keep your foot out of it. Any manufacturer ( as all tuners basically work the same ) with higher claims ( aside from an ecoboost engine or diesel ) just doesn't measure up in the real world. For the 97 5,4, you would see gains of about 22 horses and 20 feet of torque on a stock engine.
