Ohhh that sounds grim. I fear that same fate for myself. Are you from NC or just happen to enjoy the area?

Hey Hobzit. Not from NC. Born Memphis and raised in Cali. Join the Army saw the world and retired here. I prefer the southeast coast.

Fuquay Varina NC, bout 20 min SW of raleigh. picked up a used 12 platinum 4x4 ecoboost. If anyone has an idea of a place to soft offroad (stock suspension, so no epic trails) I'd love to get my feet wet

There are a few places, I'm still figuring it out myself down here but Mott Lake has some variety whether it be crawling or deep ruts. It's not exactly allowed but everything is on a trail so if your going from "a to b" then what's the difference? Lol there are a lot of trails around the lake in the woods. I've been out there a few times to pull some buddies out but havnt played around in there too much. There are similar places all around as well but like I said I'm still searching around for some good areas. Downside is it's not ideal to go without someone to pull me out if need be. If you find yourself down this way let me know or if you end up finding a good place yourself then hit me up and I'll see about tagging along.
