So, we skipped the whole crab thing for now, and took off for three days in the mountains. I don't think we could have picked a better weekend for this.

If anyone is looking to get away for a few days, but does not want the full fledged backpack camping, I would definitely suggest taking a look at Lake James State Park, and their Catawba River Camping area (Camp site #4 is AWESOME)

Not to mention that there was some GREAT fishing around that area. I could not have been happier!

you were within an hour of me lol. i go to lake james every weekend during the summer.

waynesville, nc here! im in haywood county at the foot of the blue ridge parkway (litterly i live on a hill near the bottom of the parkway) i drive to sylva over in jackson county for work.
