So since i'm new around the NC area, whats some good places to go for the beach? Obviously we have the Outer banks but i've never been. i'm not into the boardwalk style crap, more the actual beach itself.

I like Oak Island. My friend has a house down there and we go about once or twice a year.

You can tell by the muddy sound-side water. I'm not from NC (Parents didn't have the good sense to have me there) but if I spend any more time on Ocracoke drum fishing I'll start gettin mail on the south point.

I go to the beach with my friend also, and we go out on the beach with our trucks (thats like the only time mine gets off the concrete or asphalt, and I still baby it, lol). This is his (I know it's a Dodge, lol) but it is quite the beast, even though i wouldn't trade mine
