For those of you that haven't been around Saint Augustine and haven't tried our Datil Pepper sauce, your in for a treat! I made up a batch and will be bring some with me. The Datil is on par with a Habanero Pepper on the heat scale but tastes much better. There is no bitterness to it. It is kind of sweet and a lot of people say it has a nutty flavor...whatever that is supposed to mean. I did tone down the heat some but it still is a little hot.
