Default Looking for a Good Shop in RI/MA/CT

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a good shop somewhere near me (1-2 hr tops from 02817 in RI). I came across these guys on Google: Valley Truck and Offroad LLC, and from what I can see (reviews/pictures) they seem legit, however it is hard to tell just from the web and they are 1.5 hr from me.

My plans are to order a 2015 F150 in the near future, and I'd potentially like to have the works done to it: 4-6'' lift, wheels/tires, exhaust, lighting, possibly bumpers and maybe a super. I'm enough of a truck guy to want to play in the mud, just not enough to want to turn all the wrenches myself (except for small things or electronics).

If anyone has recommendations for locations in RI/MA/CT (or even southern NH if they're good), or more info on Valley Truck please let me know.

Well I decided to purchase my truck from Tasca Ford and have the work done in their mod shop. So far the experience has been excellent but I'll update once I actually receive the truck for anyone else in my situation.

Default Shops in RI

Kenn,
Did you ever find a good mechanic in RI to work on your truck? I am out of warranty and need to get a guy who knows how to do everything

Hey guys,

Fellow Rhode Islander here. If you're in the northern part of the state, I can't recommend Dean's International Auto in Johnston, highly enough. Dean's a good friend and a hell of a mechanic. If you're in the southern part of the state, L&S Auto in East Greenwich is excellent also.

As for custom work, I've had lots of stuff done at The Enthusiast in Johnston. Russ is a great guy and has been in the industry for a long time, and they get great pricing. A-custom on Atwood Ave is also excellent.

Tasca is good, and their mod shop is excellent also, but they will be very pricey for what you could get equal and cheaper elsewhere. I used to work for Tasca and know the Tascas very well.

I just had my truck lifted at Valley Truck and Offroad, and I can't say enough about Brent's customer service and expertise. Installing lift kits really isn't that big of a job for any mechanically inclined person with a truck lift and pneumatic tools, but his customer service can't be beat. He immediately remedied the few issues I had after getting the truck back, and was quick to respond to texts and calls. I would recommend a visit to any shop before committing to an investment such as lifting a truck, and Valley Truck is no different. You'll get a great idea of how good these guys are from the type of work they produce.
