Default going to maine this wkd driving through ct

so im leaving on fri around 8 am and have to drive through ct to get to maine from nj. i was hoping that someone can tell me the fastest way to get through the state cause last yr when i went up i believe i was siting in traffic for an hour and really dont want to do that again.

Take I-95, and make sure you take the loop around Boston, don't try to go through the center.

^what he said the center is terrible especially for someone who doesnt know the area.

grew up in CT, now live in maine, trust me, get on 84 east in new york, follow 84 east to I-90 east in Mass, go to 495 north, then get on 95 north. if you go 95 all the way through CT it adds almost 2 and a half hours. drive it quite often, its by far the quickest way and keeps you away from boston too.
