F150Boy

Anybody in this area? I see stuff for KC and st Louie but not my area we have a ton of 150's around here and a lot in my 97-03 range. Just wanting to see if anyone's around and if they may want to try to get meets or something like that going. Also where you guys have found the best mechanics and prices. I know a lot of the places and detail shops and such but the best always seem to be holes in the wall or backyard guys.

Just moved to the area not too long ago. Im definitely in need of a good local mechanic for my books... Or a F150 group for advice and extra hands!

Your absolutely right about the best being in the "hole in the wall"places. I can't find a mech that I trust to wk on my lightning without driving two hrs to stlouis.the local ford dealer won't touch my truck. If there is anyone in your area that has extensive experience with modular motors that would be nice because I'm in Springfield from time to time as my brother lives there.

Hey guys... I'm in the sprintown area too now. Been away from town for a few years but back now.

If your looking for a good mechanic in town talk with Bob at Horizon Auto on Scenic. He is very knowledgeable and works on a lot of high end/exotics (your lightning) that a lot of shops wont. He does a lot of work for dealers in town as well.

If you are west of town my Dad runs a shop in Mt. Vernon about 30 min west of town on 44. He's been running a shop for 30 yrs. Hope this helps those looking
