The 2009 F150 above has been the best truck I've ever owned. Recently, the driver side motor seized up and needs to be replaced. The mechanic is telling me I need the motor and both brackets because the motor has seized on the bracket. Being that the truck has 250k miles, I don't want to drop 2k into a new OEM motor with brackets. I've been looking for aftermarket parts but can't find the motor with the brackets except from Ford. Has anyone had this same issue? Is it possible for the motor to seize on the bracket? Would love to have EVERYTHING working perfect on this old truck, but need some advice on aftermarket parts and if you can even buy them. Or has anyone else had the issue with the seizing of the motor on the bracket and been able to remove the motor to be able to just put on a new motor and re-use my current brackets? I currently have the steps up and shut off through the instrument panel.
