Anyone recognize this truck?
Just bought this '12 Super Crew out of Oklahoma. Had some issues with the line X peeling off that I wanted to get fixed, and was hoping someone knew the owner, and I could get in touch with him/her to help me get line X to warranty their product, instead of charge me $500 to fix it. Maybe see what other mods they had done to it.
Thanks, from a first time f150 owner!

Scour the truck for any info. I found the original owners name on a promotional card in the glove box.
Sometimes the dealership will give you some info. Or they might call them for you and see if they will talk to you. Also, you might be able to use the vin # to find it.

Also, what is the issue with the linex? For 500$ it seems like you need the entire bed resprayed.

Its got about 4 quarter sized chunks missing, but it is custom color matched to the truck, so they said they would have to mix up a large amount of it, and they would do a quick top coat on the whole thing just to make it look better.

My next step was to hit a few of the chain repair shops (jiffy lube, midas, firestone, etc) and see if the truck had a name / number associated by vin.

Humm. I am not sure how linex works but I know when I repaired spots with reflex we would mix the 2 parts together along with the paint and apply with a popsicle stick. It worked great for small repairs and as long as you got the mixture correct, it blended right in.

run a title search at your county tax office or DMV. Based on your State, it may be different. You should be able to run it through publicdata.com or an equivalent and see all of the past owners.

I've not seen publicdata before, but if anyone who has it wants to run my vin, ill toss them a few $ via paypal. I only saw plans for 600 lookups and up..
