Whoa there, buddy boy. No need to get snappy.
My reason for asking is because I have volunteered for toys for tots for the last 8 years with the exception of my deployments. It doesn't matter to me who gets the toys, my reasoning behind it was because if there were Marines standing there at 2, 3, or 4 in the morning, in the bitter cold, I'd rather donate on their shift, so they don't feel like they're standing out there for no reason. Usually the ones standing out there are the younger Lance Corporals, and they're the ones who get stuck with the **** work during the day. If that were the case, I'd bring them some coffee, donuts....something for them to boost morale.
The other reason I ask is because the rights to the name "Toys for Tots" has been issued to the USMC, it's been used freely, which doesn't bother me, but I just wanted to make sure that if it were a Marine Corps event, I could help ease the boredom of the 2am shift.
Forgive me if I struck a wrong cord with you, Snappy Snapperson.
