My 03 5.4 v8 is only getting 13 mph on the highway and it only has 56k miles on it. So, I'm guessing it just needs a tune up. I'm looking for a good place around DFW to do a tune up other than a stealership.

I'm not 100% certain on this, I think the 5.4's use the 2 piece spark plug that is notorious for breaking or splitting inside the block. A tune up likely won't come cheap since it is a well known problem.

I would check the obvious things first. Air filter, pcv valve, tires. Also take some of the lead out of your foot if you need to.

Running a can of seafoam through your gas tank will help clean up your fuel injectors.
