Default TAMU college station

So I'm livin in SA right now but in a couple if weeks I'm moving to college station to go to college at Texas A&M. Just curious if anyone else here lives in or around there or is going to school there.

On a second note anyone know any good shops or mechanics for ANYTHING just in case something goes wrong?

I'm in college station, a senior at A&M, I know most people don't like going to the dealerships, but varsity ford in town has some good guys, I always go see kevin in the service department if I need anything, he doesn't try to bust your ***** about mods

I have used varsity ford a few times and they seem to be pretty friendly, I had a issue with there sales department but there body shop, service and parts have always seemed nice.

Varsity was bought by Tomball Ford, a group I do not care for! Game players! I bought 2 cars from Varsity, but only from an Aggie named Keith Foust. He is now with Appel Ford in Brenham, a great guy to deal with!

New 4x4 XLT owner here in BCS. Any suggestions for places where I can take it off road? Doesn't need to be anything crazy. Would just like to take it out and get it in 4 wheel drive every now and again!

As for dealerships. Got my truck at Henson Ford which is about 40 miles east in Madisonville. They were awesome to deal with from start to finish.

Thumbs up

Class of '12 here.

Here are the biggest pieces of advice I can possibly give you and I'm sure all the other Ags in this thread will agree..
  • Meet everyone in your class. You'll understand how huge networking is when you graduate
  • Take your grades seriously. Your GPA is the difference between a great job and working somewhere that doesn't require a degree
  • Never turn down an invite to The Chicken
