I have a 1997 F-150 XL with a 4.2 L engine. When the engine is turned off during the hotter time of the year the engine turns off properly but makes a "dieseling" type of noise before it shuts down. The engine is tuned up and exceptionally maintained. Possible problem. I have a CarMD and it passes with a green code. Possible problem?
