If you're ever in San Angelo I'd definitely help you out

You're thinking of Airfield drive that the planes taxi over. Its the size of an interstate (4 lanes) but only runs within the airport boundries.

I have a trial license for forscan if you want we can meet up and you can change what you need for free. I'm not that familiar with it. Only thing I did was activate my remote start. I live in Garland, but work by downtown, by Westmoreland.

It's actually International Parkway and it's 3 lanes each way plus service roads (another six total lanes).
While the land for the airport hasn't really grown they have added more terminals.

But back in topic. I'm south of Ft Worth and if you're brave enough to do it and don't mind coming this way you can use my equipment for free (old laptop with dead battery). I don't want to take responsibility for making changes to anybody else's truck. Heck, I don't even like doing mine but I couldn't stand the double honk.

cllrmar, did you ever get what you wanted done?

I setup my FORScan last night and used it to turn off the annoying double honk. I am in McKinney so it should be convenient to meet up and let you use it.

But like Scott91370 said, I am willing to let you borrow the “tool” but how you use it is up to you.

I might try to weasel in on this action! I'd love to disable the double honk. My truck is only 2 weeks old and it's startled me a few times already....usually in the garage, so the sound is amplified.

Yes, disabling the double honk and being able to remote lower & raise the front windows are my two favorite FORScan "features". I still need to set the panic button to require two presses. I set it off last night while I was replacing my fog lights, my head was about 1' from the horn...

Send me a PM and we can set up a time to meet up. It will take longer to back up your settings then it will to make the change. You might want to bring a USB drive.

It will probably after the 4th before I can get together.

You, sir, are a fine example of forum brotherhood! I'll PM you!

I didn't know we could raise and lower the windows remotely. My last vehicle had that option and I really liked it. Now I'll have to comb through the Forscan thread for anything else to change...but the windows up/down and double honk removal are what I really want.
