Any San Antonio folks here?

Alamo Heights. Pretty much between Northside and Grande.

I drove by last night when I had some time. Yeah, I'll give them a call when I'm looking to buy a couple of F650s or something. Jordan is a long stretch, and getting back here from there after dropping off a vehicle would be a pain in morning traffic. I guess I'll give them and Northside a try, though, and see which I like better (or hate less?)

Got my driverside cylinder key knocked in... I know I'm not the first to have this happen.
Where have you guys gone to have this fixed? Handle is fine... just need the cylinder replaced and keyed to my existing key.
Dealerships are quoting me $450 - $900... they're stupid for thinking I'm that stupid.

Have you opened up the door panel and looked at it yet? I had the same thing happen to my '04. I was able to epoxy the broken plastic and get the cylinder to snap back in place. (not nearly as strong as original - but I use the keypad instead of the key anyway). Hell, some jerk is likely to just do it again anyway! Apparently all it takes is a regular screwdriver and hit the damn thing with the heel of your hand.

I removed the door panel yesterday to make sure there was no damage to the actual handle... everything seems to be in good order still.
I ended up calling a lock smith after all our wonderful dealers frustrated me yesterday
They quoted me $160 for the replacement and keyed to my existing keys scheduled to meet me at my house after work this evening to complete!
I'm thinking about getting a Jimmie or plug to deter would-be-thieves here in the future...
