Default Wow sticker peeling already?!

I gave my truck a hand wash this past weekend and noticed there was a small piece chipped from my side stripe! (FX4 appearance pkg) Geez the truck is only 7 months old.

Looks like the dealership will have to replace this it just better line up or they'll be doing it over until they get it right.

Thank you for reaching out, SOUNDWAVE? I suggest taking the vehicle to your dealer; let me know how the visit goes, and I'll see how to help. Also, send the year and odometer reading.

2014 (purchased in August) odometer is at 18012km

Well things didn't go so well, I took it to the Kitchener dealer he took a bunch of pics and sent it to Ford Canada he even spotted another small chip on the other side. He called me later that day with Fords answer, they claim the sticker has peeled due to impact (even though there is no dent) in that area not because of premature wear therefore it is not covered.

I'll be honest I'm not surprised that they won't cover it most car companies don't give a ***** about you after they have your money I had to deal with a similar situation with my Infiniti G35. I will be sending nasty letters and constantly calling the power that be to get some satisfaction I did it with Infiniti and now I will do it with Ford.

Thank you for the updates, SOUNDWAVE. Please PM your VIN, full name, and daytime phone number; I'll escalate your concern to the regional customer service manager.

I think you got good life out of your decals...mine didn't last the first week of ownership. Seems they don't like the car was pressure wash. Don't mind though... how many times does it gotta say FX4 or FX2 or whatever on your truck. I'm quite happy with the fact that the pressure washer peeled them so well though. As far as having Ford say it's an "impact"... it's an out for them. Few if any companies teach their service people the proper ways of warranty protocol or have the wrong protocol.
Where I work... and I won't say where... we love doing warranty and look for a reason to fault the manufacturer and not the owner. yes, abuse is abuse and will negate a warranty claim but still... if we can blame the manufacturer, we will.
Myself, I mentioned to the dealer that the decals started peeling on my truck and was blessed with a shoulder shrug and the response " why didn't you leave them alone? why did you peel them off?" my choice and I like it that way. As it is, Im still waiting for them to call me back to set up an appointment to paint the lower areas of my doors... been just about a year now.'
Do I want them to do it... not really. They don't have a body shop and "farm it out". Not with this cowboy!
Point is... if you feel you're wronged, complain to the higher powers... complain, don't yell. Yelling never works.

I love how it's always Ford's fault and people's sense of entitlement when they buy a truck. It's a vinyl decal, not armour plating, get over it. Geesh.

Looks better without the decals anyway, first thing I always did with those FX4 decals was peel them off after delivery.

Oh yah, when you're complaining to the PDB (powers dat be), don't forget to go into the dealership and rant and rave, it's good entertainment when I'm waiting for my oil change. lol

Just kidding SOUNDWAVE, you go bro. Squeaky wheel and all that.

I'm baffled as to Why you would think it's ok for decals to peel after 7 months of ownership? if an emblem and/or door handle fell off your truck would you just shrug your shoulders and say "oh well"?

Maybe your standards of quality are different from mine. See I've owned Honda's, Nissan's and Infiniti's from the day I started driving up until recently I don't think ANY of the 3 American car companies were worth my time and hard earned money and I think statistics speak for themselves. Weather it's something big like Turbo issues or something small like a vinyl sticker there's no excuse for it to be overlooked and or taken lightly you may not care for the stripes but I do and that amongst others is why I chose the Appearance package. Geesh

My standard of quality is quite high actually, that's why I keep buying F150's.

I never said it was OK for the decal to fall off, it was your reaction that I found funny.

Automatically assuming its a defect that's Ford's fault is a little presumptuous, who's to say it wasn't vandalism or something that hit the truck and chipped the decal.

Instead, you went all Code Red , if you took that attitude to the dealership with you, no wonder they didn't go out of their way to help you.

Geez.

I see you lack basic reading reading skills because at no time did I mention I'd be freaking out on the dealership I have my way of handling things you don't know the first thing about me, don't put words into my mouth! Also the sticker is shipped in 2 different spots on both sides of the truck it's not coincidence.

Do you thrive on being an A hole and trolling threads? Is that how you like to spend your time here on the fourms (Ya I seen your reply on my other thread). So if that's what turns you on you go girl.... You know squeaky wheel and all that. LOL

You're right, how could I have mis-read your reaction and assumed you were freaking out and over-reacting, my mistake.

I'm honestly not trolling you, sorry you feel that way, I merely have another perspective on it that differs from yours.

If all you wanted were responses that supported you, then you should have said so in the first post.

Name calling ( A hole, troll, you go girl ) and insults (lack basic reading skills) are not the way to maturely debate differing opinions, you have my apologies for being so mean, and I forgive you.
