Default X-plan for Ford shareholders

Hi,

Just wanted to share my experience. I have been a long time Ford shareholder and a few months ago I have found that Ford offers X-Plan pricing to the eligible shareholders.

The form is at http://www.fordflex.net/misc/ford-sh...pplication.pdf and you can search on Google for additional info.

I wanted to confirm that this works quite well for Canadians. I have filled the form (just put your 4 last digits of SIN instead of SSN), faxed it to Ford Shareholder Relationships fax line, added a statement from my broker showing that I had the shares for more than 6 months. Got the PIN by email in a couple of days.

So, if you want an additional argument in future negotiations with the dealer (guaranteed maximum price of invoice +2% with no haggling at all), do yourself a favor - buy 100 shares of Ford, hold them for 6 months. It is about $1250 US today and they pay a dividend of about 4,8% - still way better than a savings account Just do the math. This will pay you a reliable dividend, it is highly unlikely that you may lose a significant part of this investment and your savings on a decent vehicle will be more than the cost of these shares

Just noticed that the form is gone from the original site but I have found it in no time on the official Ford shareholder site: https://shareholder.ford.com/investo...s/default.aspx In this FAQ there is a section on that with the link.

Cool. Thank you for that info. Buy some stock now to get ready for a new 2021 / 2022. No discounts on New models....but Invoice plus 2% is better than any deal

That was my exact plan, purchased my 100 shares in November thinking Xplan will be the best you could hope for on the redesign for likely a year or so. Not to mention the fat Dividends. Of course, here I am 4 months later with nearly 10,000 shares, every week I kept telling myself I was getting a better price than last week. Purchased a 1000 shares here, and 1000 there. And here we are in the Carona Tank, and could have dang near have bought the truck with these loses. Boy, that new F-150 and Bronco sure better be a success.....

Thanks for this. How does one go about getting or proving xplan eligibility to the dealer?

The original link to the form isn't working, but noticed there was another link farther down in the comments.

I just bought some F stocks. They have really come down recently due to this Covid-19. Bought shares at $4.40 USD each on Wednesday. Could have caught them even lower than that, but think they are low enough, I should be able to 2x, or 3x my investment in a few years.$3.96 has been the recent low price, & wasn't long ago they were in the 10-15 range. Ford should be a safe investment.

How long does one have to have the EAA membership prior to buying a new vehicle?
