Precisely.

Never should have driven it off the dealer's lot.

OP - folks are taking the effort to create and post owner pre-delivery inspection checklists for a reason. The dealer-driven inspection is sometimes lacking.

Best of luck getting those issues addressed - non appear fatal.

Salut!

No problem, GlS. We're happy to help! Thanks for the pics. Please PM us the VIN, your full name, best daytime phone number, and dealer info. I'll send this over to your regional customer service manager for further assistance.

Hi namrogd, I'm leaning in that direction myself. I've seen the horror story you speak of, Also an apparent good outcome, that required a complete disassemble ( which scares the heck out of me ).
Definitely not happy with this lack of quality control on Fords behalf. A new vehicle should look and operate as new from the beginning at the very least.
This differential "LOOKS" like they got it from a junk yard, even though they didn't, it gives that impression.
I went to a different dealer than where I purchased my truck, one of our cities largest, to check and see if other 2015
F150's were in the same condition, every single one had a rusted differential.
Imagine for a moment if the glitzy commercials currently on TV were to zoom in on a rusted differential under that brand new 2015 F150, saying, you too can have this quality part on your brand new state of the art truck!!! Question??? How many would they sell???
I love my new truck, but this definitely doesn't sit well with me.

I used to love my new truck too,but I had it 7 weeks 965kms I fixed scratches,I fixed all the rust I have a bad door panel and my dash is lifting.Trying to get warranty but the dealer I bought it from is 500kms away and other dealers don't want anything to do with it.I priced door panel out of usa around $250 I'll buy and fix that myself,as for the dash I'll wait because I'm not touching that!I have bought 3 new Fords in the last 5 years never had warranty work done in my life.Trust me this will be my last.

Hey namrogd,

I'm sad to see that you feel this way. I recommend checking out Ford Parts here: http://www.fordparts.com/?searchid=1...150423142105:s

Should you decide to continue working with your dealer instead, feel free to reach out via PM and we'll be happy to see how to help on our end.

No problem, GlS. Go ahead and send over your updated odometer reading via PM. Kwasi comes in at 11 and I'll let him know to expect to hear from you.

I still have your info, GlS. Please PM your VIN, full name, daytime phone number, and preferred dealer info; I'll loop in your regional customer service manager. Also, I suggest booking an appointment with your dealer.

Don't sweat it Mariel, some of us acknowledge the fact that cast iron is prone to surface oxidation.
