Default Ford undercoating and paint treatment

Just ordered a new xlt and trying to figure out if the Undercoating and paint treatment are worth it. I have done the Known thing every year and know that it could be cheaper in the long run however not sure about one and done. Anyone have experience and or opinions? I know you can talk dealers down on those prices so how have other made out. I have searched the forms but haven't found anything current.

Dealer tried selling it to me on Saturday. $1200 (started at $1980) for "The Protector" paint protector and undercoat and a spray in bedliner. Gonna call today to cancel it. Was due to take the truck in on Wednesday.

My only cause for pause was salt and aluminium, but I think my concern is unfounded.

if you were going to do this.. get a good detailing of the truck at a shop, and have it Krown sprayed... It's good for both aluminum and steel in the truck. way cheaper than 1200....
