Default Northern BC Winters

I know it's a bit early to be talking about winter, but it's right around the corner and I'm on the look out for some studded winter tires. For the past 2 winters I have been running my Wrangler Authority's, because they have the snowflake and mountain peak and they performed rather well, especially since I'm only 2wd. Haven't been stuck, but have lost traction on a few hills and stop signs/ lights. So I'm looking for a dedicated Winter tire.

Looking for some input on tires to get that would be good on Ice, Snow and whatnot. We get feet of snow in a matter of hours and then it ices over, so studded is an essential for me this year. Also, price range is TBD as I just started a savings fund for a new set. Let's say roughly around $600 for the tires alone, as I can get them studded, mounted and balanced for free.

I had some Firestone winter force on my ford ranger last year. Awesome tire!
