Default New f150 Lease

I'm looking at leasing a 2015 F150 but am getting the horrible runaround from the few dealers I have been to (Mississauga area). They seem to be more interested in what you are willing to pay rather than providing me with figures so as I can make an informed decision on a model and options. Anyone willing to provide examples of what you've been able to negotiate or provides residual % & money factor %. Or perhaps someone can recommend a salesman who is willing to talk #'s rather than try to wooo me with led lights and pull lease figures out of thin air.

IMO, regardless of whether you buy or lease you should always negotiate on price, not payment. the dealers don't like this as they like the smaller number which is a monthly payment vs a 40 or 50K total price.

People don't realise that 15 dollar increase in monthly payment is equal to $1000 over a 6 or 7 year finance term.

Just tell the dealer you don't care about the monthy payment, you want the out the door price. Once that is done, you can get him to calculate the monthly payment. Better yet, use the Ford Build site and build your truck and it will calculate your payments. If you think that you can negotiate 5k off of MSRP you plug that into the down payment box and it will show your adjusted payments. FYI I purchased a 2015 lariat with an MSRP of 68K, and negotiated down to $52,900.

You don't have to play the dealers game, make them play yours. Their game is proven for them to make as much money off of you as possible.

Check out eastgate ford in Hamilton. Talk with Brian.

I was happy with my deal.
2015 Screw 4x4 300a 3.5L bluejeans. + box liner and running boards. 2 yr lease. $343 per month and buyout is 23,945.

Discovery ford in Burlington was willing to sell me the same truck for $430 per month, same residual..... Crooks

Both of these included a 3000 down payment.
It pays to take your quote from one dealer and go to another and tell him to beat the other guys price!

$15000 + off with no trade? On a 2015? How?

My 2015 Crew XLT, I added bucket seats, 301a, 2.7 Eco, Magnetic color and MFT.
The MSRP was 49,125$. Total Financed was 36,560$ with a 6000$ trade in.
However, I had an X-plan pin. Really looks like a good deal when you see the window sticker.

Currently these trucks are advertised by some dealers with an $8000 credit off, which is almost double what the Ford Build and Price site offers.

The real price reduction is $12500 - $20,000, depending on model and options. You can get that anytime, its just a matter of your personal power, awareness, and patience.

As the 2015 year comes to an end the ability to get these prices becomes easier, starting with 'Family' or' Employee' pricing in the next week or so.

I got my loaded '13 XLT two years ago for $35,200 against an MSRP of $50,700. The lease is up in September and I am getting ready to go in and negotiate a build on my next one, an end of July deal. Perfect timing.

Just pick the right dealer... that is so important. They have a knack for hiding payment terms on a 0% lease, or making you pay 'up front costs' and when it comes down to the final thrusts you own't be in a position to compare with others. A $340 payment versus $450 is a stroke of a pen. Do all the calculations yourself. On a zero percent lease its straight math.. the only thing to worry about (aside from the aforementioned) is buy back price. This is where you really need to be armed with knowledge, as GM and Chrysler use high buybacks to support their atrocious MSRP's, by propping the secondary market. Ford is not so bad.

By the way, FORD is way ahead of the others on offering value for money and it really shows in the purchase price and lease terms. GM cannot even come close.

From my perspective, any which way you look at it, leasing still costs around $4-500 a month for a middle of the road product, after you factor in all costs and down payments. I am paying $182 a month following a $7500 DP on the lease, which basically is a lease prepayment. The difference betwene the final negotiated truck cost ($35,200 vs $23,350 in my case) and the buyback price is exactly the sum of the DP and lease payments over a 24 month term.... I am paying the difference between the two.

Get that purchase price down to where it needs to be or you are lost before you start.

P.S.: I do not understand why peeps need to spend an extra $20K for ddo-das on these vehicles. They are trucks godammit. Save the money and spend it on real stuff, like a $9,000 BDS lift, decent fender filling tires and wheels, and real performance tune (not canned) when you buy it back in two years, if you do.

By the way, I drove a '15 Platinum Eco at the dealer just to get a feel for the new rig and couldn't wait to get out of it. It wasn't a truck anymore, but more like a Friday night *****... it gave me the creeps and I could hardly wait to get out of it.

All you Ontario boys: July 26th Ford Stampede is coming, Milton. We've got a crew going in and special venue rights. Look me up.

Thats all a matter of personal opinion and taste.....just because you don't get it, doesn't mean its wrong, and just because you're cheap doesn't mean other people shouldn't spend their cash the way they see fit. I'm all for informed, smart buying, comparison shopping and taking advantage of the incentives out there, that was good advice.

When you start making the payments on someone elses truck, then you can dictate how they spend, and what model package they get, and how they drive it.

I'm not your "peep" either, how old are you anyway?

Leased vehicles have to be returned the way they were delivered, modifications are not allowed, good luck with that.

Not trying to start any sort of flame war, just a difference in opinion, good luck with the meet with the GTAMCDB's.

I wasn't addressing you.

And you didn't read the piece correctly.

I wrote: "Save the money and spend it on real stuff, like a $9,000 BDS lift, decent fender filling tires and wheels, and real performance tune (not canned) when you buy it back in two years, if you do." At roughly $400 a month in extra lease costs (every $1,000 is $20 in lease charges) for a Platy an F-150 lessee would be able to afford a lot of real material, performance improvements to his truck if he didn't give in to shiny chrome circles surrounding his coffee cup and whispering ladies coming out of his radio.

That, and I am allowed an opinion. I am not dictating anything.

Ford upsells their product effectively, so well in fact that they are able to convince people to spend an extra $20K on essentially the same truck that an XLT is. Lots of sheeps, er, peeps buy into this marketing programme.

Yeah, I am so cheap. I insist on buying right and saving $15-20K on a new F-150 and never letting the programme get away from me. I got a friend of mine a new ('14) loaded Platy for $22.5K off MSRP last December. I'm so cheap.
