FREE Car/Truck show Sept 12 (Brampton)
Each year, this group of Prostate Cancer survivors have a car show, and although the cars/trucks/bikes are cool, their main purpose is to give FREE PSA blood tests to all men over 40! Last year, they tested about 200 men, 14 were flagged for further consultation. Who knows, this MAY have saved their lives!!!!!
(this PSA test- blood is extracted by a nurse, in a sterile environment, sent to a lab, the results are confidentially sent to you doctor)
PSA tests STILL COST (MEN) as much as $40 (whereas all other cancer tests- breast/mouth/... are covered by OHIP!!) This group continues to lobby for OHIP coverage, and should be commended.
Again, its FREE to attend, its held at Chingucousy Park in Brampton (use the Bramalea Road entrance), there is a DJ, a skateboard park if you want to bring your yougins, BBQ, plus all the other amenities in that park (mini putt, paddle boats, ...)
