ESP in Canada

ESP in Canada
I posted this in the 2009 to present section but really Canadian F150 members will be able to help me the best.
I'm getting prepared for my meeting with the dealer to finalize my purchase of a 2013 Screw lariat. I'm in Canada. I would like to purchase an ESP. I got some info this weekend so I could do some comparison shopping. I'm focusing on the Premium Care mainly because of the high-tech stuff, eg. MyFord Touch.
I know there are differing opinions on whether one should purchase ESP and that I can make this purchase anytime in the first 12 months and/or before 20,000 km's. I've decided that at the right price it will be worth it for me. What I'd like to get help on is if I can get some examples of what people have paid for their Ford ESP in the last year to a year and half and what kind of discount you were able to negotiate.
The pricing I was given is as follows (my dealer/dealer 400 kms away):
5 years 150,000 kms for $2,705/$3,405
7 years 200,000 kms for $4,500/$5,200
7 years 150,000 kms for $3,760/didn't get price.
I believe I can purchase the ESP from a Ford dealer in the US even though I live in British Columbia Canada. (from researching previous posts) If anyone can confirm this that would be great.
Thanks for helping a fellow F150 owner (soon to be) not get taken advantage by the dealers!

I just got my new 2013 limited three weeks ago. I will have a low KM's due to my tiny commute but here is what I paid. Granted they gave me a bit of a better deal as i also purchased the maintenance plan.
ESP: 84 Months, 80,000 km = $1915
** Deductible: $0 (However, when I signed the documents at the dealer it said $100. When I got my formal paperwork direct from Ford, I was dropped to $0)
FMMP: 60 Months, 100,000 km = $1965
** No deductible for maintenance

Being a new 2013 150 owner, can anyone here let me know if they have purchased and used any ESP re-sellers from the U.S. I have been told a bunch of conflicting answers that Ford dealers in Canada will not honour ESP's purchased in the U.S. as well as hearing from a couple re-sellers that say they can sell in Canada and have sold to a number of Canadian owners.
The online quotes for Ford factory ESP's I have received are a lot less than the dealers in Canada.

While I am a licensed mechanic in a busy Vancouver shop not a Ford dealer I can confirm that the following is true based on customer situations.
Vehicles bought in the US and imported with warranty (new stuff) are seeing their warranties not being honoured by Canadian dealers be in Ford, Chrysler or GM.
Buy the ESP here, it'll be honoured and not rejected.
Just my $0.02

Having spoken to the dealer when I bought my truck (Jan 2013) they tried to sell me their TriCare package. What they described as = to the Ford ESP, however it was only redeemable at Tricare warranted service providers, of which there are many, but not as many as the ESP covers.
regardless, I also asked about purchasing the Ford ESP, from a US provider in hopes they would negotiate their price down for me... which they would not. But they also said the Ford ESP, is the Ford ESP, no matter where you buy it. If you buy in online from the states, it's still valide North America wide.
You can confirm with the ESP seller at the time, but the "provider" is still Ford.

Here is information from Ford at Ford.com (the American website) about their ESP..note it says 'U.S. and Canada'.... http://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/2013/warranty/extended-warranty/
Also note the TripleCare package is theirs also.
The website asks you 'what State do you live in' if you try and communicate digitally, so that's a dead end. However, there is a 1-877 number to call, that might work...

Just had a price today from Barrie Ford (Ontario) of $2600 and change for the Premium, based on 30K km's a year for five years, and $1500 and change for the Basic. Seems pretty reasonable.

Can you buy this after you drive your truck off the lot and does it change the price.
I will have low kms on my truck so I'm more concerned about all the computers/electronics cost in the future.
What is everyone thoughts on value.....would it be better for me to just put the money in the bank in a separate account and take it out when and if needed.
Thanks in advance.
