clear chip guard, who's done it?
I'm seriously thinking of doing the clear chip guard on my front bumper, my Brothers 2011 white FX4 looks like crap due to all the chips he has. has anyone done this if so how much did it run you?
I have gotten some quotes from $275. - $350 is this the going rate for this stuff?
I'm in the KW Cambridge area so I'd like to stick to a place here.

Indeed. I had the entire front end of my truck done for around $600. Your price sounds about right for a bumper.

How's the clear chip guard look with respect to waxing ? I'm thinking buildup along the seam, and how prominent the seam is…
Definitely better than the old school front end bra's, those things were just a dirt magnet, you'd get the runoff when it rained and all that crap would get stuck in the back of the cover.

Spray it with clear plastidip . Then just peel it off come summer. might cost $40 with tape to mask it off.

I bought the Ford paint protection kit from ebay for $85. Hasn't arrived yet but according to the ebay ad it comes with pre-cut sections for the bumper, grille, grille surround, headlights, front section of hood, side mirrors and door handle cups. I've seen a similar product on another F-150 and it was very discreet. I didn't notice at first glance.
