I put the BakFlip G2 on after a ton of research on here. So far, I'm pleased, but have yet to go through a winter with it.
I wanted the VP model, but I'm still not sure how that single sheet of vinyl will hold up if you open it when it is frozen. Bak Industries is in California, so no issues down there.

Extang Trifecta. Good cover, on or off in seconds. Lightweight and easy for one person to handle. No leaks. The tailgate opens without opening the cover. Snow load is no problem. No leaks even when going through the carwash.

You should be just fine , just remember to lift the last latch b4 you close your tailgate , rubber not as forgiving in the winter , expect a few little drips on the inside of the box if you go through a car wash but no biggie . Enjoy
