The issue with the tailgate extender is that the tailgate will be down and exposed to rocks skipping up. Are there any protective tailgate covers out there?

Sounds like a great dealer to buy out your loan. Was that Kentwood?

Dakine makes a tailgate protector for bikes....that could possibly work....there is always 3M

I deal with kentwood. Their service department has gotten better since that huge Reno of the dealership.
