Well one of our fellow Albertans wrote off his truck the other day. He was driving home from Quebec, was in northern Ontario when a 18 wheeler crossed into his lane, forcing him to swerve to avoid a head on. Well he lost the *** end, and launched into the ditch, rolling his 2012 F150 3 or 4 times. He walked away from it with some scratches. I'm just glad he decided to leave his 3 year old son with grandma, for a few extra days in Halifax, before flying him back to Edmonton.

i won't deny it, i'm a dodge man through and through.
but i bought a ford cause they gave me the credit that dodge wouldn't.
been working for a tow company for 5 months now, i can say this proudly...
every 09-13 f150 i've seen mangled or rolled, every passenger and every driver has been able to walk away from.
this includes a a 09 cummins one ton welder with a iron cross hitting an f150 square between the doors. at almost full highway speed.
and just because i've bored witness to these wrecks, it doesn't mean that your truck will guarentee you to see tomorrow.
brigs, i'd tell your buddy to get the front emblem off of the grille, and then walk away from the truck. i would frame it and hang it on the wall with a few pics of the truck in the tow company's compound, and a few of "happy memories" on the other side of the emblem. another pic, a family one... of him, his wife, n kids...
i know that truck deserves a honorable discharge....
i've done similar with my 2002 dakota when i lost her to a idiot.

That's actually a good idea... I hope that I"m never in that situation again but if I am I will definitely do that... thanks for the idea.

one thick frame and the emblem inside the frame with the pics and a few happy memories made it bearable to walk away from that truck. it just needed a new from bumper, grille, hood, and corner panel... other than that, it was good to drive.

Hello all.
From Carstairs. 1997 f150 crew Xlt 4x4. Only has 147,000 KM's on it. I am thinking about letting this one go if anyone is interested. Off road package, sits nice and high, just do not get much of a chance to drive her. Anyone know what the value is for this truck?
