Plus I don't have an indoor shop to do the work in. And knowing Alberta weather I would hate to have a bunch of stuff tore apart and then it starts snowing on me, or raining, or 70 km/hr wind gusts. I'll just pay someone to do it right and be done with it.

Agreed on the patience part. But you can't beat the price of free. I swaped the front coil overs ucas and did frame brace, leaf springs and rear shocks in my parents garage. (mines small and not as well lit). It doesn't take to much for tools either. But, unless you have a heated garage to do it in it really is a summer project.

i watched a vid a couple days ago of a guy who swapped to HID's and put on 2013 projector lenses on.

personally... i would go with better HID's

Yeah no doubt retrofits r better. But oem hid are better then halogen and the head light itself is much better looking then a Retrofitted unit...just my opinion and for what I was able to source parts out for, much cheaper and no wait time

I'd have to disagree on you're factory HID's arent very good comment. I find them too be very good actually. I drive 450km to work every 2 weeks and the roads I take are horrible. Lots of animals and well Plains tankers driving over the center lane and with the factory 2013 Projector HID's I find the light output amazing. You can see small animals in the bush line, its that good. I don't even really have to use the highbeams at all bec even with just lowbeams it's very good lighting.

Hands down better light output then halogen... But I don't believe they are as good as a high end retrofit...from what I've seen...
