Ditto! It's like we share the same mind.

A local dealer has a really nice 2010 King Ranch on their lot. 100k km which is high, but my payments would be cut in half which would allow me to put more away for a house purchase.

And then someday when I'm older and have my life in order I can look at brand new vehicles again.

Decisions decisions............

I'm not dealing with the 5.4. I don't think I could do that to myself going from EB to 5.4. I'd probably buy a 2016 and drive a focus or something in the meantime.

So I was visiting my dad today, for obvious reasons, and there was an older F350 sitting next to the garage.
Turns out it's an 06 F350 Lariat-FX4 with the 6.0 Turbo Diesel. It has just over 340k on it. He says his friend is getting divorced and wants to sell it. It is going to need a power steering pump but that's it.
He wants 3k for the truck. What do you guys think? I'm not familiar with diesel anything so I'm hoping you guys could help me out with any known issues to look for. I'm getting it inspected tomorrow for mechanical problems but anything I can look for myself would be greatly appreciated.
I'll add a pic just for reference on the exterior condition. Thanks in advance.

Ask if it's had ARP head studs, EGR delete, and the head gasket replaced. I'd be impressed as hell if it's made it to if it's made it to 340 without those things. But it'll be a ticking time bomb if it hasn't, and that's about 8-10K in repairs if it needs to be done.

Naturally I'd try and get it for $1,500 lol...things to keep in mind to use to your advantage. He's getting divorced and probably needs cash. The truck is obviously of no use to him, look at the growth around it. Good luck. If mechanic gives it a decent bill of health and it only needs a PSP I'd say go for it

Lol. Well he's my dad's friend so I don't think I could take advantage of his divorce. And the over growth is because my dad can't do much yard work since his heart attack and he lives a bit far from me so I can't do it. Not to make you feel bad! Lol
Thanks tho man!

Very interesting! I will ask him tomorrow about the head studs and gasket. The EGR delete isn't tough to do is it?

Are injectors tough/expensive to replace?
