The $3,000+ upcharge and 15-18 l/100km average with a light foot is not worth it IMO.

unless..... this is part of your master plan. (this would make a good stocking stuffer for your dad eric)

I've been trying to talk him into one of those for months. It's a company owned truck and he'll probably get a new one in another 1-2 years or so. Don't want to sink a bunch of money into a truck that you know you won't own for that long..Otherwise he'd probably have one.

here's a thought....

buy it from the company when his company has to sell it.

then, slap the sc in there and go have some fun.

even ditch the eco and use that extra coin to blueprint that truck and get new running gear, upgrade the tranny... and you're set man.

I Dono about the 6.2 not being impressive.....the test drive is what sold me on my ltd. don't forget the trans in these things are nice and gay and start to learn your habits. If your light footed all the time, when you step on it, it is definitely less than impressive, put your foot into it a few times for a while then step on it and it will put you back. Your mileage goes for **** but its fun lol. Haven't driven the 5.0 or the eb for that matter to compare but I love how it responds and sounds. I'd love to put twin turbos on it but I don't think ford will cover that lol

Kinda sorta. We'll see what rebates are like this fall and what my truck is worth on a trade in.

but didn't you just get a new truck?

think of the negative equity... you'll lose coin no matter what.

btw, why get a 2014, when you can hold out for a year and check out the next gen.

I did really good upgrading. Bought my 2012 at a huge discount and got huge money on a trade in. Had equity the day I bought it. The total note was less than it's actual value. I essentially drove a year for free plus made a couple bucks on the trade in. Now I have my dream baby! And these were both new trucks!
