you know that order i placed with rough country?

well apparently my order should have arrived Monday morning.

so i called ups yesterday and then rough country.

i spoke to a guy named Ryan at rough country, and he told me "ill check with the ups rep and call you back within the hour."

well, since i had been up since 5am Monday morning; woke up in kamloops and drove to Drayton valley. had enough time to kick my gf and my dog out of the truck, have a shower, then drive another half hour on the highway to go to work for 12 hours. i called rough country at about 8:30 am our time Tuesday morning and by 10:00, i crashed on the bed. when i woke up at 5:15pm to go back to work for 7:00 pm... there was no missed calls as there should have been.

i am pretty pissed at these guys. enough to say, this is probably going to be my only order i have with them. i am at the point where ill buy a rancho lift just because of customer service.

there is a rough country dealer in Calgary, but that's a 8 hour drive away... the gas alone will kill me vs the cost of shipping.

i simply wanted a sexy setup that no one else has around here.

a rough country lift would be nice and rare... but so is a rancho lift.

anyways, thought i would let you boys know so you know what to expect when dealing with these BLEEPS

Are you sure it's Rough Country to blame?? I have had some serious problems with UPS. They don't know their *** from a hole in the ground. What is rough country saying anyways??

long story. will have to post about it later. trying to deal with it.

I only logged on to copy my previous post to email them.

in short tho, what's pissed me off is, lack of responding to emails sent, promised to call me back within an hour with a update to this situation and had failed to do so, and a few other minor things.

as for blaming rough country, the issues as stated above are what rough country has done, ups is a whole other story.

UPS has always been unreliable in my experience to the point that if I order something online and they are the carrier, I do without. You'd think a company that large that boasts premium service would actually deliver on that promise.

As far as Rough Country goes, maybe they are waiting to hear from UPS? I don't know. I never dealt with them.

well, in summary....

rough country processed two orders under my name. so, I couldn't figure out which was the legit one, because ups kept giving me the run around and held my shipment until after a week, then they returned it to the sender. as for the legit one, it got lost.

so I've been emailing back and forth all week with rough country.

luckily my "daystar" arrived.... from PHONIX, AZ.

yet the winch mount was shipped from TENNESSE.

anyways... since it's the weekend, i'm going to have to wait until Tuesday to be able to hear from them again.

which puts me back yet another week.

altho, I do have a email stating that they would expedite it if need be.

i'm going to hold them to their word for it. or i'll never speak highly of these guys... on any forum I'm signed up with.

thanks... i used to have two tens and two fifteens in my 67 impala. i am kinda done with the huge bass nowadays.

my next toy for the truck (if rough country and ups get it together) is going to be a CURT front hitch.

so why a hidden winch and a receiver; that could take a winch?

because i need to stay hitched in the front to keep the trailer on the ground while winching the car onto the hauler.

after that, couple of rigid beside the roller fairleads.

and maybe tint the side rear windows and side canopy
windows.

when my paychecks are 2700 and my gf also clears a clean 1000... its tough to stay out of the "toy" sections lol

I hear yah man, I got a list a mile long of truck "toys" and this year I went from from working in Edmonton to shift work in fort Mac. Plus my girlfriend finished university and is working full time and my brother is living with us paying rent. I'm never gonna make this much money again in my life. Trying to save some money for a change its taking all of my willpower not to drop like 5gs on a bumper, winch, intercooler combo.
