Good idea.. But I always would prefer keep the original. I would not modify the Borla. Just I can't. They are so perfect to be modified. Simply a piece of art to me. Nice craftsmanship.

I'll just throw this out here...
after losing a fight with a concrete barrier on Hwy 1 last winter, I've decided to get some winter wheels / tires for the truck this year. The stock RS-A won't make it through one more winter (tread is down, and they are not that that great to begin with!) so, might as well...
Just curious what you guys are running for winter tires, and if you hear of a cheap set of wheels coming up for sale, I'll take that too!

I was almost set on a set of all-weather (KO2, Grabber AT2) but after doing some more reading, it looks like the dedicated winters will still outperform them enough to warrant the extra cost...

BTW AdventureNorth, welcome!

I run Bridgestone - BLIZZAK DM-V1 - P285/45R22 and love them.

Thanks ecopat

I've always ran duratracs for my trucks in the winter. Where I live, there are a lot of gravel roads and poorly maintained highways so I always stud them as well. Never had an issue with the duratracs and they hold up nice

Thanks for the replies!
I drive mostly (exclusively!) city / highways and the Duratracs might be a touch on the aggressive side for what I need! The Blizzaks are on my list, thanks for the feedback, guys!

I really like my Kevlar Wranglers. Can run them year round.

I like my new BFG KO2s. For sure they are little bit stiffer than the stocks, but you feel the tough down there. I love them!!!

My friend runs those on his Raptor too with studs. He can't believe the difference in stopping and accelerating the Blizzaks have over his Duratracs. In your case the Duratracs would hold up better against the gravel roads.

Yeah if I was driving on pavement all the time, I would definitely go for a bit less aggressive lug for more traction on sheer ice, including the blizzaks. IMO the duratracs are the best all around tire for plowing through snow and running on gravel. The less beefy tires just get beat up too much driving gravel all the time.
