Try a vinyl wrap. Would he cheaper and if it tears you just put a new one on. Although it if is 3m it should last a long time.

Would a vinyl wrap match properly you think ? Any suggestions where to get it done ? Most tint places I guess would do this ?

They should be able to get it darn close anyways. Any place that makes decals or signs or tint should be able to do it.

Or at the very least black.

One more thing. My back up camera started off going fuzzy and stuff then lately it just turns blue and shuts off. Any idea what this could be ? Worked fine for the first 6 months then all of a sudden stopped working. Tried unplugging the mirror connector but doesn't do anything. Tailgate wires look right.

Thanks for reminding me I didnt think the Chrome package would bother me that much when I "settled" for it (everything else is exactly as I wanted), but I'm in the same boat, if I could ditch these I would.

I used to drive a Lincoln MKZ before I crashed and I painted the stock rims myself over the chrome and they turned out pretty sick. And it was fairly cheap. I might do the same to my stock f-150 rims. Not a fan of the chrome anymore.

I had my Chrome grille surround ptm over the weekend by Redline in St Albert. They go through the process of sand blasting and throwing down adhesives (they explained the process to me in detail when I had it quoted but the full explanation escapes me).

I didn't mind having all the chrome with my XTR (I prefer it over the blacked out look nowadays) but found the grille a bit much. I'm very happy with the finished product with how it turned out and am now trying to find out where the best spot to buy aftermarket headlights is at in Edmonton.

The finished product. It was a second hand grille that I turned in to be painted, they also fixed a crack in the surround so all told it cost me $380.... Steep as hell but I tried plastidiping it and I wasn't getting a consistent application so I turned it over to the pros before did any damage or wasted any more time. I'm happy with it and may break out the dip on the weekend to get the inside of the 2 bars blue.
