Thumbs up Fuel Mileage reality

I have been getting 12.9 liters/100km with the 5 liter V8 on a FX4
ie: 22+ mpg for a new truck with low kms
My friend has a GMC Sierra 4x4 with the V8 and has been getting about the same mileage. 22 mpg
Gm keeps advertising they get better. HaHaHa
Both of us cruise at 105 km so we are not slow or fast drivers

Not that I can stand driving that slow for more than this one 230 km run but here is my mileage.

I was just doing between 100 and 105 the whole time. 6.2 with 373 gears and its odometer is displayed. I think its life average is more like 16 l/100km. Lol.

Mine is sitting at 13 atm. Just took it on a 1000km trip and reset it before leaving. Was traveling at 130/140.

Heavy day to day traffic in downtown Toronto: 14.5/ 100. Still...not too bad.

Default Love this engine & tranny combo

I drove to Western NC and back to Mississauga 2 weeks ago, and averaged 11.1. The route is through mountains from Southern PA, WV, VA, and NC.

I filled up in Pennsylvania on my way back to Mississauga. Since then, I drove to Collingwood, back to Mississauga, and back to Collingwood, where I filled up this AM with 222 kms to empty showing on the display.

Awesome to be able make a long trip without stopping for fuel. At 11.1 L / 100 kms, the theoretical range is 1,500 kms!

Average since new is 12.5, mostly highway.

Lifetime average on mine as tracked by Fuelly is 14.8, but I haven't uploaded my last 2 fill ups which I think I averaged high 12's on. Current average on the display is 12.5 after 300km of driving

I get about 500 km to a tank, which works out to about 4.25 km per liter of fuel. 2006 F150 screw with 5.4 3v.
