So I was recently road tripping in my 2004 fx4 and pushed and held the trip meter reset button but was not in the trip mode, I was on the regular odometer. When I held it, it brung up "Zone 8" I didn't know what this was so I just cycled till I got back to 8.

Anyone know what the zones are? It didn't seem to change anything but I'm just curious. Thanks

I always thought it had something to do with the compass, but im not 100% sure

The zones are used to make sure the compass is correct. Magnetic north changes depending on where you are located.

Ok. Where can I find a key of which zones are where? I moved a thousand miles so I may need to reset it anyways
