Are you SUPERCHARGED?
Hey guys, I am new to this site, and have found it very benefitial. I love my truck and I am looking to do some more mods. Has anyone Supercharged their 2007 F150? I have found A TON of superchargers off of the Shelby Cobra. 5.4L of course. I am looking to do it, but I want to make sure it will fit. I know I will need; injectors, tuning, intercooler, and pulleys. Is that it? Probably will have to build my transmission and transfer case?? Let me know what you all think!!

I don't think the manifolds are the same between the trucks and the mustangs to do the GT500 supercharger, even though the motor is a 5.4, however Roush, Magnacharger, Saleen, Whipple, Pro-charger and Edelbrock all make Superchargers specifically for your truck.

12 Second Truck
Hello and welcome to the forums. I've been supercharged for 5 years now. I can help you with anything regarding this mod and the supporting mods. My truck has nearly 97,000 miles on it running 11psi on the street and 13psi at the strip. Motor is bone stock. It lives because there is a right way and a wrong way to do things. Right now I'm pushing a little 500rwhp. I went with the Whipple kit. I've done a numerous upgrades, fitment of parts not designed for our trucks and even fabricated parts. So ask me anything.

As John316 mentioned above the intake manifold will not swap between the 2 motors so use of the GT500 blower would not be possible with custom building an intake manifold, inlet ducting and numerous other mods to the blower and engine compartment.
He also mentioned numerous companies making kits for these trucks. As I already mentioned I choose Whipple. Depneding on your plans you to will have to decide which kit you want. The Roush model for this truck is an Eaton roots blower. It is now obsoulete and has been replaced with the TVS unit that Edlebrock makes. Great bottom to mid range power with the Eaton. They do get hot though and start falling off verses other blowers by 10psi. The TVS is a very nice unit that is more efficent and can run much higher boost with better temps then the older Eaton. However Edlebrocks kit is very expensive and in my opinion poorly engineered for the 04-08 F150.
The Whipple and Saleen blowers are twin screws. They are more efficent then the roots or TVS. Power is from idle to redline. When I say idle I mean idle. At a sit still flooring my truck produces over 300lbs of torque by 656rpms. Keep in mind my idel is set at 649rpms. Instant power!! That grows to over 550lbs of torque.
You will enjoy anyone you choose and the kits are complete with what you need to run 6-8psi. I've had a lot of fun with the Whipple. My stock truck is running low 12's and I hope to hit high 11's when I race in a few weeks. I am running a built transmission though it is not needed. Many supercharged trucks are rocking the factory trans with no issue. I also run a 3000 stall converter and built drive shaft. Many many more mods.
