yes and I put the xl panels on Bc his were a little scratched up and in the end it's telling me I have my door open when it's not open, any advice?

sounds like you missed a connector on the door lock or it has a faulty switch there. might also be the one in the door frame is loose.

when I swapped doors I swapped everything except the part that grabs ahold of the little bar to keep the door shut. It's what the sensor cord hooks to

You kept the original to your truck part in the door or what came with the door? If its the one that was in the new door it is possible it was faulty.

that may be the reason why then! Bc I didn't think I needed to change that part
