X Cal 3 ?

X Cal 3 ?
Can anyone tell me if there is a huge difference between the "canned tunes" and the troyer custom tunes. I was all set to get the custom tunes but after seeing all of the data logging that is involved and no access to a dyno I'm wondering if it is worth it. Should I just be happy with the Air Force One intake and the X Cal 3 "canned tunes"?

The retail for an Xcal3 is about $399 with the canned tunes....I purchased my Xcal3 with "custom tunes" from VMP Tuning for the same price. You arent expected to go datalog and dyno run your truck in order to have someone cut you a tune for a frickin AF1. Thats pure bull**** and whomever told you that is of equal ignorance.

in addition to that, the canned tunes trim the fuel curve quite minimally, in the case of the S&B intake, canned files do not modify the fuel tables enough to properly run that intake.

Alot of tuners do want you to datalog and send them the files to custom tune for a particular vehicle. The altitude differences, driving differences and even differences between 2 different motors requires datalogging to get the "perfect tune"
