Default front end conversion 04-08 to 09-14

Well i am new on here and this is my first thread. I have a 2005 Ford F-150 Super Crew that i wrecked a month ago. I am on here hoping that somebody might be able to answer a couple of questions that i have. First off i wanted to know if my 4x2 frame could be switched out for a 4x4 one. I am thinking of doing a 4x4 conversion on it. Secondly i would like to know of it is actually possible to do a front and rear end conversion from 04-08 to a 09-14. If anyone has done so could you please advise me as to the difficulty of doing so. Thank you very much in advance for your help. I will also try to post a few pics of the truck after the wreck and of it as it is now.

I know for sure the newer body style can be retrofitted to our trucks with pretty minor modification, however I know for sure you will need the entire front "clip" including bumpers, fenders, grille, and hood and maybe more. As for the bed, it bolts straight up for sure. Now when you get into frames you have me lost so I can't really help you there.

The frames should swap straight across if they are the same year and wheelbase. Make sure you clean the new frame up and paint or rustproof any bad spots. Better to do it while the components are separate than trying to figure out why you have a lot of rust in a couple years.

I haven't done any frame swaps on the newer trucks (92+). On the older ones, if you were withing say 3-4 years either way of a similar body style with the same wheelbase, it was only minor modifications at the most. I'm not sure with the newer ones how often they moved a mount one way or another. I would say keep it withing 2 years either way to minimize the problems. The same year would be best scenario though.
