I got the BFG's, all services (enviro fee, disposal fee, install & lifetime balance), all taxes and their repair, refund or replace certificate for $1017 out the door. A savings of $213 off their normal price, plus there is a $60 mail in rebate ($273 total savings). So before rebate, it's roughly $254 per tire, after rebate it's about $239. Which these tires normally run $235 for the tire alone at Discount. Which that is cheaper than I paid for my BFG AT T/A KO's back in 2006 on my 2002 F150.

He couldn't get under $1250 dollars on the Goodyears though and Goodyear only offers a $20 rebate.

Got an appt. at 5pm tonight to get them installed (with the wifes okay). Will try to get pics tonight, if the truck is clean enough and post up tomorrow. Of course these won't be any wider than the stock BFG Rugged Trails (275/65-18), but are about an inch taller (32.1" to 33.2") and a little more aggressive.
Sounds good man.One thing tho.Only $20.00 rebate.I got $80.00 some how.Out the door i payed $960.00.Got my tires at sears(remember my size also,34.6) with repair, refund, replace certificate. However tho,i didn't get the lifetime balance as they wouldn't mount and balance them on my stock rims.Maybe thats why you payed more.Lets us know how you like em.N def post some pics, dirty rig or clean man

Thanks bro!

Personally, it looks better in person when you can see all the details. Also, it does sit just a tad higher than stock (of course), which is really only noticable by me when looking from the front. I notice the front spoiler/air dam is just a teenie bit higher than with the stock 275/65-18s.

Either way, it's good for me until the wifey lets me actually lift it, which won't be for a few years. Oh well, good enough for now.

Hard part isn't getting her to say "yes", it's getting her to say "yes" in the current financial situation.

With only my income, a mortgage, two car payments (hers will be paid off in 3 months thank goodness), 3 kids with one of them starting HS next year, and all the other expenses, it's hard to persuade her now.

Of course in a year, the HS daughter will want/need a car. So it's already been planned out that she will get my wifes current car (Nissan Altima) and we'll buy the wife a new ride (Ford Flex).

So right now, finances are stretched to really think about investing in a lift, larger tires/rims, new gears & locker and increased fuel costs.

Default Duratrac sidewall is TOO THIN!

I've got 285x70-17 Goodyear Duratracs on my F250 and 285x70-17 BFG AT/KO's on my F150 Super Crew. Driven both rigs for about 10,000 miles with both sets of new tires. One thing I do not like about the Duratracs is the thin sidewall. I've punctured one sidewalll already on the F250 and it was not repairable. I believe 100% that the BFG's would not have punctured the sidewall. Before putting new tires on my F150 I checked both the GY Duratracs and BFG's AT/KO's at the local Sam's Club. The price was less than $5 difference per tire in the same size. The Duratrac sidewall was examined by my fingers and it was flimsy and thin. The BFG AT/KO sidewall was at least DOUBLE the thickness. My F250 didn't have a choice since it is a company truck and the company's contract is with Goodyear. However, for my personal truck there was NO WAY I was gonna spend the money on Duratracs. My money went to BFG AT/KO's. If Goodyear would improve the sidewall problem (which by experience leads to a very "squishy" turn on blacktop highways, it would be a much better tire. The tread is nice, but the sidewalls suck. Go to the tire store and feel each tire (in the same size as I did) for yourself. I bet you won't be buying the Duratracs.!!

Woah, I got a set of 35" BFG A/T's delivered for 860$ to key west florida from discounttires.com

It seems odd that it would cost you more for a smaller tire .

Unless there newer or something ? idk

Looks like you went with the BFGs! Much better option. People who buy Goodyears don't care about them self or the person they put behind the wheel. There is no worse tire then a Goodyear.

Dude really.I sure as hell wont trust an opinion from guy with few posts and who is probably a web troll.I personally have never had a problem with my Duratracs in.None at all on wet pavement, dry pavement, mud.Recently downpourd here and was on the freeway, everyone else slowed down,i was doing freeway speed no problem with my Duratracs and it was awesome.Allot of military vehicles are outfitted with Goodyear.

Yooperinutah.Maybe it was your set that was very thin and flimsy. Not mine at all.I have the Duratracs on mine and i think there thick enuf.Had to be this past weekend as i went off road and did alittle rock crawling(nothing major)but enuf jagged edge rocks to puncture and mine were fine. One guy did puncture his sidewall on a set of Kumo At's.Sorry to hear about your experience with them.
