Newbi here after reading about probs with the 5.4 motor. You have me looking else were did the plug, tick , piston slap ever get fix by ford or is it like the v6 that they said didn't have a proble back in 98 ?

I would like the FX2 but the dealer said it only comes with the 5.4

some feed back PLS tring to make a dis- today on 4.6 or 5.4 truck will not be use for towing just better deal on the 5.4

Its a fair price for a brand new truck, but being its a 2 wheel drive, the resale drops much faster. It is hard to tell how the value is going to hold up with the 09s coming with a new look. Try looking up a used 07 fx2 and see how they hold their value. Check KellyBlueBook and put 10 miles for milage.

the deal is more of a consern then if I like it. I would be happy if some would make me a deal on a XL150 crew with 4.6 in the orang county or san bernardino county. After cking fx2 did seem to be very sharp. Thats is why I ask don't get me wrong its a very nice looking truck.

the fx2 does infact come with a 4.6....ive noticed that on some of them the badge says "5.4 Triton" and on others it just says "Triton" meaning it has the 4.6....so maybe they just dont have any instock at the moment w/the 4.6 if you want a 4.6 tell them to search for one (p.s. its a good deal i have a scab lariat i got it for 35 and it has the 5.4 im very happy with it, wouldnt trade it for anything else...so if you do infact get it, you will be happy with it im pretty sure...
