Default Would a BENT Idler Arm...............

even slightly bent, cause a vibration at 70mph ?

I've had this vibration for a couple of years now, and I know there's TONS of vibration problems listed in this forum, but when I replaced my rims, the right front rim was bent, like somebody (that I know and love!) possibly hit a curb, without telling me, of course.

How much should I expect a FORD dealer to replace an idler arm for?

Thanks for any input......
and I've had all 4 wheels balanced and aligned numerous times, but still have the small vibration, which goes away above 75mph.

An idler arm does not have to be replaced by Ford....most tire stores that perform alignments also work on suspensions.

Might be cheaper then the Ford dealership.

There is NO IDLER ARM ???????

I thought "Rack and Pinion" only related to steering, but as you can see, I'm not familiar with this stuff.

What possibly could be BENT in the right front suspension to cause this vibration ?

did u check your wheel bearings and tire balance? if you have an 04 "heritage" then yes you have an idler arm, but the late 04 NBS(new body style) went to a rack and pinion.

Wheel balance has been checked several times............
this is an XLT supercab (new body style), so no idler arm, I guess...
the wheel bearings have never been checked, but they would be making a noise, right?..........

maybe I should have FORD check them?

jack the truck up and see if the wheel wiggles around. mine had a vibration at 60-75, wheel bearing had atleast a 1/4 in of play.
