Default Wiring in Fog Lights

Alright guys, let me start by saying I am as awful as it comes with wiring. I want to wire these led lights into my fog lights. I have a 2006 Fx4 and was wondering how can i still use existing fog light switch and how have people mounted them. here is the link.

I just noticed that, Even the rigid brand are low as well. Is that because LED require less power?

Possible ... my FOG's have 45W bulbs in them... not sure how bright those will be...maybe somebody that owns a set will chime in.. but, you should be able to just splice those in to your existing fog wires if that plug don't fit..

Those LED's are rated at 1400 lumens so technically they should be brighter than factory fogs at 45watts. As you mentioned, yes LED's are more efficient than halogens.

Since the draw is less (20 watts), you'll be fine to run these on the existing circuit. They'll actually be easier on the circuit than halogens. If they were HID's and still drawing less, I'd recommend separating them but with LED's not so much at all. If you were really worried about it, you could still use existing wiring but use a relay. In your case though, I see no concerns. My only thing is watch the temperature... It should be less than a halogen but sometimes where the heat is can be different than a halogen so it could melt a housing depending on that (not likely though).

One thing to keep in mind though is many LED's are directional. These are listed as flood so they should be really good. Lightbars are coming as spot (directional), flood, or hybrid.

no splicing needed. i replaced the fogs in my 2013 F150 with Rigid Dually's. i used this adapter plug that allows you to plug the new LED lights with no cutting needed. i got mine free since i purchased a whole Fog Light kit so i didn't have to pay the $30 for it (which is kinda expensive for what it is if you ask me... :/ ). if you don't want to pay the $30 you can buy the materials needed to make your own for half that if you're handy enough.
