instead of a hole, why don't you just put a splitter in there? (not sure how the connector is held in that position for the hole though) but just an idea

are you talking about the hole in the top of the dash? i thought about splitting it but it wasnt just a possitive and a negative wire, it was 4 or 5 wires and i didnt want to mess with that.

no..i mean get a "Y" connector/splitter (not sure on the correct name). In this case it would be: 1 male into 2 female split. The male would hook into the existing connection (much like your ipod line does now). One of the female splits would go to where the stock one was, and the second you would hook your ipod wire you already have in there. make sense??

makes sense but the factory harness would still have to plug into the whole on the dash. its larger then it looks from on top, you cant just plug anything in under there

gotcha...i didn't know how it was setup under the dash. I do like the way you wired it though.

I would think about doing it, but my other car is heavly modded and i've learned the when you take the dash apart (esp numerous times) there becomes squeeks and rattles that you will never be able to get rid of. I plan on keeping the truck as stock as possible...but we all know how that goes.
