Default Oil Filter Problems
For some reason I tried to make a post but it said denied to I took a photo and attached it to this and there you can read my problem. Thanks guys or ladies!

Drive a screw driver through it and break it loose. Get some leverage on it.

What does it matter if it tears? You are replacing it with the new oil, correct?

I bought an oil filter wrench that uses a 3/8" drive
Works great
Stuck filter you may just about have to rip it apart

There is nothing to tear. O rings and all are built into new filter. You're replacing it. Tear the old one up to get it off. Wish I could say I've never had to do it. Be sure to wear an old shirt. Oil will certainly run down your elbow!

Also remember to always wipe some fresh oil on your seal to help prevent this again.

You might want to wear some leather gloves...shredded metal can make some nasty slices [on your hands].

I think he's referring to the filter tearing rather than effectively spinning off.
I have had better luck with a big pair of channel locks.
