Default Winter tires

I am looking into getting Blizzak tires as dedicated studless winter/snow tires. I was hoping to run a 295/305 60ish 18 but I can not find any place with bigger than like 255.

Where are you guys buying these 305+ sized tires from? I have 275x55x20 now (32.1") and I was hoping to try 33's for the winter but tire rack/ discount direct/ ebay don't have them.

Please help I need to get them soon. Thanks!

I doub't you'll find wide snow tires. They are like narrow mud tires.

Snow tires are fairly common in the stock 18" tire size of 275/65-18 however you are very limited when going to a 20" rim, though it is offered in the Blizzak line. Having a GINORMOUS winter tire will completely cancel out the benefits of having a snow tire. Most snow tire and rim combinations ran in the winter will usually be substantially smaller then the stock size.

Sounds like though, that you just want the performance of a snow tire but looks of a mudder and for that I can't blame you but the options just aren't there.

Tell me how you make out though if you do end up with snows and post some pics.

My summer tires are 275x55x20 Scorpion ATR on Voodoo Rims

My winter tires are currently brand new GY Wrangler (ATS?) They have a poor snow rating so I was hoping to trade them in locally for a dedicated snow to keep on the 18's.

I would like to trade my Voodoo 407 Chrome 20's for a set of black rims (chrome came with truck but I prefer black rim on the black truck just no money to do so) for some like StealthF1 has on this forum, below.

Blizzak tires are excellent. You would be better off with a narrower tire so it doesn't "float" on top of the snow.

Your best option would be the toyo open country G-02 that is available in 275/70R18...just a little over 33
